As a part of the nature, forest is one of the most beautiful things on our planet. We got so many beautiful forests on the earth that it is quite hard to sort out the best ones. Here, we try to enlist 10 top most beautiful forests in the world.
1. Sagano Bamboo Forest, Japan: A beautiful bamboo-rich forest located in the Arashiyama district, west to Kyoto, Japan. Sagano forest is known for its diverse range of bamboo trees.
2. Giant Sequoia National Monument, California, US: Giant Sequoia National Monument forest is located in the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains in California and covers about 4,829 sq km (1,865 sq mi) of the mountain range. It is mainly knwon for its magnificent Giant Sequoia trees.
3. Redwood National Park, California, United States: The Redwood National parks is made up of four parks that span across at least 158 square km area. They altogether cover 45% of all residual coast redwood forests. These forests feature some of the tallest and the most massive trees on the planet.
4. Black Forest, Germany: Also known as Schwarzwald, these are wooded mountain forests located in Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany. The forest is surrounded by the Rhine valley on both west and south sides. Romans gave it the name “Black Forest” as the trees inside the forest block out most of sunlight from touching the earth surface.
5. Crooked Forest, Poland: It is named such because the forest accumulates around 400 oddly-shaped pine trees. It is said that some human or scientific method was used to make trees grow like this for some specific purpose. The actual cause is still unknown, but it has made this forest unique and famous.
6. Jiuzhaigou Valley, Sichuan, China: Also known as the “Valley of Nine Villages,” the Jiuzhaigou valley is a combination of colorful lakes, waterfalls, and snow-capped peaks. It was registered as the UNESCO World Heritage site in 1992.
7. Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Costa Rica: This is a wonderful and famous forest reserve located near the town of Monteverde. The forest is visited by roughly around 70,000 people every year. It is made up of 6 ecological zones, most of which are virgin forest. It is known for its diverse range of over 2,500 plant categories, 120 reptilian species, over 400 types of birds, and a number of insect classes.
8. Daintree Rainforest, Australia: One of the oldest tropical rainforest located north of the east cost of Queensland, Australia, Daintree is said to have existed for over 110 million years. Kangaroos, platypuses and wallabies are some of the most common animal species found in these reserves.
9. Amazon Rainforest, South America: Amazon is one of the most popular broadleaf rainforest ranges expanded over an area of 5,500,000 square km, located in 9 countries, including Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Guyana, French Guiana, Venezuela, Ecuador and Suriname. It represents roughly 50% of the total rainforests on the planet.
10. Olympic National Forest, Washington, United States: the Olympic National Forest is located in the Olympic National Park, US. It is one of the largest temperature rainforests in the world and also the rainiest place in the US continental.
